NACDA Minnesota branch is the second created branch in North America in June 2006. This branch has about 27 members, most of them living within the twin cities area, in the land of 10,000 lakes, but this branch is unique in its own , it has some of its members from other states and countries like Chicago IL, Texas, Brazil, etc...
NACDA Minnesota was the host to the second NACDA -NA convention with 295 participants from all over the world (100 Awing sons and daughters and 195 non-Awing elements). This was graced with the presence of HRM Fon Fozoh II King of Awing as guest of honor to this convention.
The theme was: "Fostering the Awing culture through education and fundraising"
The ceremonie which lasted for 4 days from Thursday to Sunday included other activities like a boat ride in lake Minnetonka, a visit and tour of Presbyterian Homes Minnetonka (Nursing Homes), a visit and meeting with the city of Spring Park received by Mayor Sarah Reinhardt and city officials after which there was an exchange of gifts, HRM received a City Proclamation of Awing Day in Spring Park and a decorated plaque from the Mayor.
